Ingredients:
-
4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
-
1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
-
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
-
1 bag (approx. 4-5 cups) frozen hash browns or sliced potatoes (optional)
Instructions:
-
Optional Step: Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray. Place the hash browns or sliced potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker for a full meal.
-
Lay the pork chops on top of the potatoes.
-
In a bowl, mix the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and pepper.
-
Pour the mixture over the pork chops.
-
Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over everything.
-
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until pork chops are tender.
-
Serve hot — great with a side of green beans or a salad.
Note:
For extra flavor, you can lightly brown the pork chops in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker. Also, if you prefer a thicker sauce, leave the lid off for the last 30 minutes of cooking or stir in a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a bit of cold water.
