MEAT AND CAULIFLOWER CASSEROLE

Ingredients:

Ground beef or chicken:

Provides a hearty base for the casserole, packed with protein and essential nutrients.

  • Cauliflower: Adds bulk and texture to the casserole while offering a low-carb alternative to traditional
    starches.
  • Onion and garlic: Infuse the casserole with aromatic flavor and depth.
  • Cheese: such as cheddar, mozzarella, or parmesan, adds richness and creaminess to the casserole.
    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F
      (190°C) and grease a casserole dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
    2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef or chicken over medium heat until cooked through.
      Drain any excess fat.
    3. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened and fragrant.
    4. Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
    5. Arrange cauliflower florets on top of the meat mixture in an even layer.
    6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the cauliflower, covering it completely.
    7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the cauliflower is tender.
    8. Remove from the oven and let the casserole cool slightly before serving.
