½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

3 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, chopped

6 cups beef broth

½ cup red wine (optional)

  4. Add potatoes, carrots, celery, tomato paste, and rosemary. Stir well.
  5. Transfer to a slow cooker (or keep on stovetop), cover, and cook on low heat for 6 hours (or simmer 1–1.5 hours on stovetop) until beef is fork-tender.
