Ingredients:
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper. This enhances the flavor and prepares them for cooking.
Sear the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the garlic.
Add Cheese and Seasoning: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Add Italian seasoning, mixing well. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of chicken broth or water to reach your desired consistency.
Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the creamy Parmesan sauce. Let them simmer in the sauce for a couple of minutes to absorb the flavors.
Serve: Once the chicken is heated through, garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Serve with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables to complete your meal.
